Blogs and Stories

Rajkumari Namdeo is a 68-year-old resident of Jabalpur district in Madhya Pradesh. Her husband was a lieutenant in the army, and ever since he passed away, she had to fend for herself. She used her sewing skills to support herself.

In June 2021, she experienced some difficulty in breathing, cough, and fever. She tested positive for COVID and was admitted to the COVID Ward in a government facility for a few days. Even after recovering from the disease, she experienced the same symptoms again. On June 29, 2021, she was admitted to the WISH supported Post COVID Care Ward in UCHC Manmohan Nagar, Jabalpur. At the time of admission, she was so weak that she could hardly walk! At the Post COVID Care Centre, she received routine check-ups and regular follow-ups by doctors, yoga, nutritious food, and physiotherapy, which helped her regain strength. Physiotherapy and yoga helped Rajkumari recuperate and get better. She continued yoga at home after her discharge so that she could recover completely.
